| Masters Nationals Brings Improvements and Hardware to G-Force |
|
The over 35 heavyweight class was very competitive and I was fortunate to get the nod for 2nd place, my highest placing to date for a national level show. Denise RathwickDenise made her first trip to the national level stage with her new look. Following a disappointing and less than deserved placing at the Emerald Cup, it was back to the drawing board to fine tune for Masters. Denise spent 10 weeks training legs, dieting, and working on mandatory posing with me. The hard work and focus paid off, as Denise was able to add some needed size and shape to her legs, as well as acheive the level of conditioning she needed, to be competitive on a national stage. Her hard work was rewarded with a 4th place trophy in the over 55 division. Denise is a 56 year old cancer survivor who is a role model for all women and an inspiration to all that she meets. Even the young guys couldn't believe her age, some commenting that she looks younger than they do. Denise has a lot of promise in the sport and with her level of commitment and focuse, will do well no matter what stage she competes on. Visit Denise's site at www.deniserathwick.com. |

2009 Masters Nationals saw a new look to G-Force and it paid off. It was a long, hard year riddled with aches and pains. But following the advice from last years judges, I was able to put together a package that they liked. Weighing in 12 lbs less than last year, my physique was more streamlined and better balanced.
