Masters Nationals Brings Improvements and Hardware to G-Force

2009 Masters Nationals saw a new look to G-Force and it paid off. It was a long, hard year riddled with aches and pains. But following the advice from last years judges, I was able to put together a package that they liked. Weighing in 12 lbs less than last year, my physique was more streamlined and better balanced.

The over 35 heavyweight class was very competitive and I was fortunate to get the nod for 2nd place, my highest placing to date for a national level show.

Denise Rathwick

Denise made her first trip to the national level stage with her new look. Following a disappointing and less than deserved placing at the Emerald Cup, it was back to the drawing board to fine tune for Masters.

Denise spent 10 weeks training legs, dieting, and working on mandatory posing with me. The hard work and focus paid off, as Denise was able to add some needed size and shape to her legs, as well as acheive the level of conditioning she needed, to be competitive on a national stage. Her hard work was rewarded with a 4th place trophy in the over 55 division.

Denise is a 56 year old cancer survivor who is a role model for all women and an inspiration to all that she meets. Even the young guys couldn't believe her age, some commenting that she looks younger than they do. Denise has a lot of promise in the sport and with her level of commitment and focuse, will do well no matter what stage she competes on.

My Motivation

And the 2009 Masters Nationals wouldn’t have been such a success for me without my husband, my very best friend, my training partner, and my incredible support…Dan. He pushed me through the hard times, past the aches and pains, and encouraged me even when I felt like I just couldn’t do any more. I could not, nor do I want to do this sport without him. I’m so richly blessed to have such love and support surrounding me and am thankful each and every day for having this wonderful man in my life.

Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon, Pittsburgh Taxi DriverHeading to Pittsburgh? Gotta recommend Jimmy Fallon for your transportation in and around the city. We met Jimmy last year at the airport and couldn't believe the service. In fact, we booked him to take us back to the airport after the show. This year, it was a quick phone call to Jimmy, a few days before we arrived, and he was there, 7am bright and early, to shuttle us off to the hotel.

You won't find a better or more personable taxi driver in Pittsburgh. Great to talk with and his service is the best. Next time you're in Pittsburgh, give him a call, 412-559-9521.
